Every year, the Sociology Department organizes a New York City walk. This year the walk is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th. It covers 42nd Street, the New York Public Library, Grand Central Station, Chinatown, Downtown, and Battery Park.  These walks, which start late morning, depart from the Port Authority Bus Station and cover a wide territory on foot.  The walks are led informally by department faculty who live in Manhattan. There is no sign-up and everyone is welcome. For more information click here.
