Moving from one place to another {0/,} like from one country to
another, involves many risks and hopes people take with them
to their destination. Those risks and hopes are involved in all
the choices people make. A good example of these choices can be
found in the story " Going {Into/into} Exile{0/,}"{,/0} which was written by 
Liam
O'Flaherty. This story describes the departure of Mary and {Michel/Michael}
Feeney {0/coming} from Ireland to the United Sates. This departure involves
hopes and risks they may encounter.  Mary and Michael left their
homeland, Ireland, in order to look for {a/0} better {life/lives}. They both
have the great hopes of becoming rich in order to help their
family and support themselves. For {Example/example}, Michael is looking
forward to earn enough money to pay his Aunt Mary for the money
she lent him in order for him to make the trip to the United
{State/States}. I think that the only problem he has is that he has hopes,
but he {doesn't/does not} know if there will be a job available for him 
{0/or}that
he will find a job that pays good money. For example, on page{9/nine},
paragraph {8/eight}, it describes how Michael felt {strong/strongly} that 
with his
great strength he would earn a great deal of money. This was a
problem because he {didn't/did not} know if he would find {the/a} job. Mary 
also
hoped for the best about her trip. She wanted {0/,}and was {hopping/hoping}
{0/,} that she would find a good job. This was a big hope she had,
but she {didn't/did not} know if there would be a job for her. A problem
she might be also facing would be that she was a woman, and
in the United States during that time {0/,} women were treated as if
they {didn't/did not} have any rights. Another risk Mary might encounter
will be that people might take advantage of her because she was
a woman and was so innocent.  The Feeney {kids/children} have the risk of
becoming homeless because {they6/they} are leaving all they know and
are going to the United States, which is an unknown place to
them. They both do not know what lies ahead and have the risk
of never going back to Ireland, their home. The risk of not
coming back to Ireland is not only their risk, but it is also the
parent's risk because they might never see their older children
again. This kind of situation was {lived/happening} because there 
{wasn't/was not}
enough money for the people to be traveling back and forth.
The choices the Feeneys have made will lead the lives of each
member of the family in different ways. For example, Michael
and Mary will be in an unknown place away from home. The parents
will be in their homeland, but their lives will change because
two of their children will be thousands of miles away. Even
though the two, Michael and Mary, left Ireland with great {and/0}
hopes, they {didn't/did not} know the risks their destination will bring.
Choices involve risks. Every time someone makes a choice, that
person just thinks of the hopes but not of the risks. {The6/They} do
not usually think of the past they will leave behind. It is
sometimes said that through life {0/,} people make choices of looking
toward the future and forgetting the past. All choices involve
opening new doors, but usually that means closing others. Those
doors {you/one} will be closing represent {your/one's} past.
