THE BIG PAPER
(Must be uttered in ominous deep tones)
The paper must be at least ten pages double spaced..
Longer papers will be gladly accepted. Shorter papers will not be accepted.
Margins must not be less than 1 inch on either side
Fonts should be Courier 10, Universal 10 or 12, or Times Roman 10 or 12
The topic must be approved prior to writing
Standard citation format from the Chicago Manual, MLA Style Sheet, or
the Maroon book is required.
The topic will be most well received if it delves into the mysteries of
cyberlaw as it influences and modifies the first amendment, privacy, or
defamation.
Papers which include technical as well as legal analysis will be
received most warmly.
Posting your paper on our web site or giving it to me in html format
for posting with hyperlinks will earn at least an automatic B in the class.
The paper is due on the night of the examination if hand delivered.
Otherwise, the paper is due the night before. The actual date will be August
11, 1999.
All intellectual work must be original or attributed correctly. We have
an expert in linguistic analysis who will track down transgressors. Those who
do not heed this warning will be slaughtered like the plageristic dogs that
they are.
