The Elite, or Ruling Class, in _Matigari_
Please read the passage on pages 100 and following, in which the
members of the elite - the rich, the government officials - give
_their_ view of their country and what is happening in it.
Then, please reread the 7 passages in which the "Voice of
Truth", the government radio station, is quoted, pp. 132-136.
Now, write 250-300 words about the _ideology_ of the ruling elite
in this country. How do they account for poverty and other social
problems? What do they think of their own role? In short, try to
outline the "ideology of the rich" or "of the ruling class", in
_Matigari_.
