Short Stories from the Vietnam War

     Please read all the short stories up to page 115 in Franklin's
book, The Vietnam War in American Stories, Songs, and
Poems.

     Please write something about your impressions of the stories, and
in what way they are a reflection of a (veteran's) view about the war.
Please make sure to refer to at least THREE of the stories in your
post (do not count the first story, "The Old Man", as one of these
three). Try to analyze ONE of the stories at a little greater length.

     Please TRY to post your assignment in two parts on our Discussion
Forum -- one part (150-200 words approximately) as a "post", the second
as a "reply" to another student's "post" or "reply" (100-150 words).

     But don't kill yourselves! Academic Technology knows about the
server problems and swears they will be fixed. I'm not so sure. So, if
you cannot post by Monday, please email to me and to your group.
